Multi-agency action taken to protect communities from serious organised crime – High Wycombe |
||
|
Officers carried out joint activity with partner agencies to disrupt serious and organised crime in High Wycombe. At around 2pm yesterday, we executed a number of warrants at addresses across High Wycombe with ten arrests being made for offences such as concerned in the supply of class A drugs, possession of offensive weapons and immigration offences. Working together, partner agencies also took action to address wider concerns around crime, safety and public welfare at a number of locations. Thames Valley Police secured several properties through warrants and is progressing further action through the courts for closure orders to support longer-term disruption, while other partners have made referrals to ensure ongoing action is taken to address health and safety concerns. Neighbourhood policing patrols will continue as normal across High Wycombe, with an increased visible presence in key areas such as around the surrounding areas of Arnison Avenue, to provide reassurance to the community, with officers engaging with residents and local businesses, offering advice and addressing any concerns, while continuing to take action against criminal activity. We want the public to feel safe and supported, and we remain committed to working closely with our communities and partners to keep High Wycombe a safe place to live, work and visit.
